She is a very good presenter, indeed among the best on the channel. GB News - thecorrector - 01-10-2021 Imagine being such a ridiculous individual that you get riled up about the serving of nuts on planes: https://twitter.com/colinbraziergbn/status/1443970596212252673?s=21 GB News - TheMightyTRex - 01-10-2021 peterrocket post_id=44136 time= user_id=1179 Wrote:She’s due to step down as an MLA in the next day or two so that won’t be an issue, and then I’m sure pop up as a commentator on all the usual outlets.Northern Ireland has a clown shortage. She could earn a fortune and not have to travel to England. He's merely opening a conversation. "Can this be right?" is a very loaded opener to the conversation. Which I would find very strange. 2. He’s basically questioning if anyone with nut allergies should ever ever be allowed to do transatlantic travel without taking on a high risk of dying. Because that would be the logical outcome. Of course he could be questioning whether there is actually a risk, but I certainly read it as the former. GB News - Jon - 01-10-2021 Something must have just happened in the studio. I had it on in the background so not quite sure what happened but I think they’d just come back from a break then after about a minute Dolan suddenly interrupted the conversation they’d just started and abruptly cut to another break. Now they’re showing trailers. Edit: and as soon as I pressed send it came back! GB News - London Lite - 01-10-2021 What Brazier was going on about is pretty lazy to be honest. There's other ways of getting people wound up, but being considerate to a person who has a nut allergy isn't that much of an ask. GB News - DavidWhitfield - 02-10-2021 Couldn't resist taking a look on the YouTube live stream following your comment, Jon. It appears as though they were having some technical issues in the couple of minutes before that abrupt throw to an impromptu break. Graphics seemed to be getting stuck on screen, lingering translucently long after they should have disappeared. ![]() ![]() I also wonder if they were having trouble showing any camera shot other than Mark's, as he was referring to his guests but the camera shot never changed from the one seen in the above screenshots, which seemed a bit unnatural when they're sitting just to the side of him. Seems as though whatever they did while we were watching Michelle Dewberry imploring us to watch her programme worked, however, as it all seems to be sorted again now. Quite what he expects to gain from it is anyone's business. GB News - mdta - 02-10-2021 Me and my boyfriend were flying back from France last month, and there was a similar request made on that flight. I hadn't realised it could be an issue, and fortunately I didn't have anything with me that had nuts in. It does seem like Colin is exploring the reaction with an eye to finding outrage or descent. |
