GB News - Newsroom - 14-09-2021

The sooner that abomination of a channel is off air the better for all concerned. I find it hard to believe it’s still on air to be honest.

GB News - Jon - 14-09-2021

I was thinking who else could a similar impact on ratings as Farage did (at least initially) and the only person I can think of is Katie Hopkins. She’s not someone in their original guise I could have imagined them signing up, but now you get the sense they may as well just go for broke. I’m not sure what she’s been doing since she was deported from Australia though.

This is a far nicer angle of the breakfast bar than the straight on angle they're using on air. I think a corner shot incorporating the screens, shelves and the plant they had there originally would be nice too.

They are properly better having the briefing starting at 9:00 and then start To The Point from the start at 9:30 it would just be more consistent.

Everyone raves about McCoy but I have to say I think he is completely insufferable and rude. I couldn’t care less if he left. I find his sarcasm incredibly tiresome and that seems to be the only thing he relies on. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Understandable opinion given your name and I understand you’ve recently taken up surfing?

To be fair, I don't think he has publicly criticized the channel's agenda, unless I've missed it, he has said it is down to him reducing his work commitments. Now what he says in private I'm not privy to ...

GB News - James2001 - 14-09-2021

True, all the reports claiming he disliked the channel's agenda have never directly quoted him, and he's never said anything on his twitter or anywhere else.

Has the studio echo gone?

Pretty much - from what I’ve seen it pops up every now and then but is resolved within a couple of seconds.

Suspect some of the people who’ve spoken positively about GBN here might yet agree with the content of this Times comment piece:

GB news leading the others on the reshuffle this afternoon. SKY and BBC both live in Downing Street while GB news has a long interview from a regional reporter somewhere so discuss if our benefits system for for purpose?

Is it that bad if it’s providing an alternative to the other channels, maybe for those who don’t want back-to-back reshuffle news?

I guess. But that is todays 'news'. It is the biggest story around & will likely lead the bulletins we'll see over the rest of the day.

This probably goes back to the comment that's been said here before, but should GB News really have 'news' in the title?

I understand where you’re coming from, but I think for those (myself not included I might add) who don’t want wall to wall reshuffle coverage it’s good that they’re covering other news (which they are, alongside the debates).
