Firstly, the whataboutism comment was with regards to the fact that instead of actively debating why the topic of discussion was not poor content, all new Phil decided to compare it with when Sky News did something similar. I respect Phil's views just as I respect your views, but I believed that bringing up the Sky News example failed to excuse what GB News was doing. I was not a fan of when Sky News did it, but that does not make it ok for GB News to do similar.
Secondly, I don't know why you seem to think I'm "triggered" by this channel, unless you're mixing me up with somebody else. I've come to terms with GB News, and really don't care that much if it succeeds or if it fails. All I'm doing is browsing a forum, and commenting on what I see, as we all do here. If I saw the same sort of output on another channel, I would be equally critical (as I was with the Sky News example once it was shown to me). I want to be able to give the channel a fair chance, but as you've admitted yourself, it's a "crap channel".
If you want me to say something positive about GB News, then here it is. I think they have some good on-air talent with Nana Akua & Rosie Wright, and if they were put to better use, I'd be more likely to tune in. However, whenever I have a peek in, there is either mediocre presenting, or mediocre content. I also thought that the channel had some potential in the build-up to launch, with a mix of good quality news output, balanced with a wide variety of opinions. However, there often seems to be either a lack of varied opinions (which is to be expected when you resort to having your own presenters as guests on other shows), or when they do get a guest on who I'd be interested to hear the opinions of, repeatedly asking questions about stuff which seems somewhat irrelevant (i.e. Asking about Hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment, when the vast majority of scientific studies have shown it does not work).
That is why I am often critical of what I see from GB News. There is occasionally some good content (I personally enjoyed Neil Oliver's interview with Shaun Ryder back in June), but any decent output always seems to be buried by content that I can't watch for very long.

I am sorry to say but I really do think this Channel will be gone by next summer, Nigel is the only big signing they have made to the channel since launch and I now wonder how long he will stay there for. With Andrew Neil’s departure almost definite and McCoy now considering his position I just can’t see how they will survive. They will just sign more Talk Radio presenters and think that will solve everything.

Very interesting article from The Times. I'd be interested to see what happens with McCoy if he does leave, as he obviously won't be going back to the BBC but he seems like such a talent to waste not being on air. I think he is probably in the better place on GBN, because the Breakfast show is as far away from any of the what-ever-winged evening programmes & Kirsty isn't exactly politically aligned like Alex is.
Also crazy money being banded around for Piers Morgan. Going off the latest Popbitch email, it looks like News UK have signed Piers in some sort of tie in to a TV/talkRADIO situation. But I cannot see him signing for that if it is online only, so maybe they're going to stream roll right over GB News...

I'm not so sure, myself. Its initial funding period is three years, is it not? I suspect it will limp on until the end of that period (so roundabout spring 2024) and then die a quiet death. There was a channel in Canada, called Sun News Network, that started in a very similar manner to how GB News did - poor technical standards, poor ratings and lots of right-wing cheerleading - and in a similarly crowded market to ours (two existing news channels of reasonable-to-high quality). It lasted just shy of four years before the plug was pulled.
