This is what we see on the eve of 2002 and 2006 rebrand. On the eve of 1991 rebrand, the sentence is very different because no BBC News channel/News 24 at the time.

BBC Two in recent years went a bit bigger on their farewell to their idents (as below). I doubt Oneness deserves anything near that level of nostalgia but may be more the route the announcers want to go down if they've done that recently for BBC Two.

The farewell closedown of respective idents on BBC Two is better than i see on BBC One. On the eve of rebrand on 16th February 1991, the closedown was using the national anthem.

I keep coming back to this thread every now and then to see what the latest news is, and as we are well into the second half of September, October fast approaches. It took me a while to be sold on the new BBC Blocks. I didn't like the size of the letters, but ultimately, its grown on me. As for the idents of this new era, I will be interested to see what occurs. However, I do have my own speculation for the TV Channels:
1. BBC One is going to have live action in its idents, as we know. To what extent remains to be seen. However, I would imagine that there could be some CGI involved, or some form of camera trickery. My hope is that we return to a central symbol, instead of a 'concept' like Oneness, The Circles, or the Dancers. None of them were symbolic, they were just a unifying concept, and that is what I dislike about current BBC One. If the people form a globe or the number one, then that's something I'd be interested to see. Side note: [mention]DeMarkay[/mention] no one should be harassing you about the idents.
2. BBC Two is obviously keeping their current set, though I hope there will be a couple of new additions to the family.
3. BBC Four is definitely in need of a complete makeover, so I suspect they will have new idents for their transition into an archive channel.
4. CBBC doesn't need a new logo, it looks as if what they have will likely work with the new Blocks. Cbeebies will also likely be the same, unless they decide to refresh that channel.
5. BBC News is what I am actually most interested in. Is it time to end Lambie Nairn's 2008 package? How does one replace that. The basic look has been the same since 1999, just cleaned up and polished. But it is still the same basic idea. I'd like to see a whole new look to the BBC News division as a whole. Maybe even bring back the flag motif.
As for everything else: I hope BBC Radio has the same basic logo for every regional, national, and digital radio station from now on. Seeing all the different logos for each regional radio service annoys me. iPlayer (which should change its name, but likely won't) would look good with the supposed new logo, as would Sounds.
