Again, All BBC One idents prior to 1997 were silent. The slow critique is also not based off as much. No ident has an established speed. But it can feel slow. Like how I felt about the COW Globe. It only felt slow. But to others, it may be moderate speed.

Me too. I didn't even do anything remotely wrong. Just asked the bloke running it where he got the info from. He didn't have to block me, he could have just said that he can't disclose that.
Clean Feed is weird. I always seem to have a negative/disappointed vibe when reading their reports. Not hating on them or anything, but, do they have an ident they actually really like?

Again, All BBC One idents prior to 1997 were silent.
Not all (especially for post-1991 Christmas idents). The only music that appeared on BBC1 ident pre-97 was the national anthem (or its slower variant in case of royal funerals). Even BBC2 doesn't aired national anthem at the time despite their idents being silent until 1991.

In my opinion... oneness would have been fixed with some music of sorts and a snappier changing of shots.

All you needed was a camcorder and people looking gormlessly at camera and that was oneness with the logo slapped on top, whoever designed the iplayer startup screen should be designing bbc one’s new idents.

So... latest I'm hearing is that the nation/regional variations are still not ready, so the standard set will launch on the 1st of April with extra being added as time to goes. Also looks like the first new look ident will be before The One Show.

I think much of Oneness's poor reputation here comes from the initial launch idents – the Sea Swimmers and the Zumba Class, which were probably the worst of the bunch, looking a bit washed out and miserable.
I actually think some of the later ones such as Night Kayakers, Steel Pan Band and Sausage Dog walkers, are quite pleasant images, with a bit more colour and interest in them... and I don't really hate them.
That said, I don't love them either, and they could have been produced a lot more imaginatively – just a few alternative angles, some camera movement (not counting the wobble of the hand-held camera), and maybe some music could have lifted them into a half-decent package.

Hopefully that English regional name below BBC One logo (like "Yorkshire", "Midlands", etc.) returns in new set of idents after being removed due to initial rebrand in October last year.

One thing that strikes me, though. If they are launching the new look starting with just the original set of new idents next Friday, why on earth could they not have done that back in October as originally planned?

Shades of 1985, then, when BBC1 introduced its new globe symbol at 7pm - in fact 1985 was the last time BBC1 launched its new identity on a normal working day, rather than a Saturday (1991/1997/2006) or a bank holiday (2002/2017), so I'm happy to hear it won't be launching until the evening!

Yep. Usually, the channel, or the BBC as whole, changed their identity on the start of the day or at morning (in case of 1997 and 2021 corporate-wide rebrand as well as channel's rebranding). I don't know about other channels like ITV or Channel 4, but i suspect they also rebranded at morning as the "Big Day".
Having a rebranding in the evening sounds a big deal, given what curious people watching television will see new identity more than when it happens on the start of the day.
