I might be biased, but I think it’s not a bad attempt to make Loeki relevant in the new media universe, specially as the NPO is set for record breaking viewership over this Eurovision and sport summer. Many Loeki fans, however, might be alienated for the fact new animations were commissioned for this (maybe one-off) reboot, and maybe even dislike these, which mix stop motion with CGI animation. But so far it has potential. The biggest downside is that they did not resurrect the well-known signature theme composed by Marian de Garriga, but that might be related to licensing factors (De Garriga had a quite rogue relation with the Dutch music licensing companies which ultimately led to a financial lawsuit which was uncovered after her mysterious death). They could broadcast the new animation sequences with the older, more popular shorts, punctuated with each channel’s break bumpers, by remastering them gradually and, if it is really needed, replace the de Garriga theme with the current Ster sonic logo used by the conventional break bumpers from each of NPO’s channels.

Affiliates will need to update their logos so that the ABC logo will be at least 60% of the station logo. However it looks like it will only be for digital assets for now.

Looks great for being a simple evolution of the brand. It adapts the existing Paul Rand logo and makes it more digital-friendly. However, as I can see from the excerpt of the brand guidelines, the new flatter brand clashes with the more over-the-top approach adopted by many station logos (like the WMAR and WJET logos).

The text is way too thick IMO. Plus the logo is flat a la the 1962 logo. Sure, some affiliates still use the flat logo, but it's 2021. And as for the affiliates shown, I don't find the logo that obnoxious on the bottom three, but on the top two (especially the top left one) it just looks... big. Even though the ABC7 logo does look like that right now (I live in NYC), there's just something... off about it.

Big day in Norway as TV 2 has dropped its long-standing logo used since launch in 1992, designed by Scandinavian Design Group and which has been modified in 2003 (in association with Gosu Design and Lambie-Nairn) and 2013 (in association with Red Bee Media). The new look was developed by Bold Scandinavia through its Olso office, with additional implementation made in-house.
The new brand reimagines the TV 2 brand by building on the tradition of the brand, but taking it into a minimalist direction where the channel brands are no longer differentiated with specific graphics or colours, reflecting an "on demand first" programming strategy to compete with the big streaming services. In that sense, its TV 2 Sumo service has also been renamed TV 2 Play, aping its Danish and Swedish counterparts. Additionally, a more muted set of colours, a custom typeface in two variants (Sans and Display), and a new sound branding system have been developed for the new brand. Additionally, the news service has had a small refresh, with new lower thirds and on-screen graphics.
