BBC Three - thomalex - 28-01-2022 I see 'The Catch Up' now has a preview image on iPlayer. Hopefully they others are updated soon. The logos definitely look so much better boxless. This is how they look on Sky's online TV Guide. For goodness sake. BBC Three - AlfieMulcahy - 29-01-2022 BBC Three gets 10 new continuity announcers: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/534c657a-7023-4a94-9dd0-f1763397fd27 Quote:There are 23 continuity announcers across the BBC TV channels - and ten more have joined BBC Three as it prepares to relaunch on 1 February. The successful announcers beat a thousand applicants to the job and they'll be some of the youngest continuity announcers ever heard on the BBC. Quote:On BBC Three, the announcements will be pre-recorded. That's to give the new announcers space to craft the announcements and make them sound the best they possibly can, explains Richard. Announcements will be pre-recorded. BBC Three - AxiosBrit67 - 29-01-2022 Is any existing CA from BBC1, BBC2, and BBC4 (Duncan, Dean, Delroy, etc) appeared for the upcoming BBC3 relaunch? If not, i hope BBC Three can maintaining the uniqueness of the channel when the channel first launched in 2003 with very different continuity announcer from BBC1, BBC2, and BBC4. BBC Three - Brekkie - 29-01-2022 I get they want new voices for BBC3 but it hardly needs 10 CAs for pre-recorded announcements for a part time channel and too many voices won't help it establish an identity. This is where the BBC don't help themselves - this is inviting the money to waste type of headlines that are putty in the hands of the #DefundTheBBC brigade. What relevance would they have to the BBC Three audience though? BBC Three - DeMarkay - 29-01-2022 There was a casting call for new youthful voices for BBC Three (18-30) BBC Three - Josh - 29-01-2022 10 announcers is very overkill. I'm all for getting some new talent on the BBC (see Radio 1's Christmas talent Search), but having 10 announcers exclusively for one channel is a bit much. |
