BBC Three - This is UTV - 24-01-2022

BBC Three Sky EPG channel slots have been confirmed (and are a bit of a mess tbh)

BBC Three HD
117: England (except London), Wales, Northern Ireland
141: Scotland
173: London

118: on Sky Glass (England, Scotland and NI)
119: on Sky Glass (Wales)

BBC Three SD
845: (UK) (Ireland epg slot tbc)

Why it's on 173 in London but 117 in the rest of England?

Because London Live is on 117.

Is there not Ofcom rules about how far up the EPG BBC channels need to be? How does BBC Three get around this in London?

At a guess - once BBC One HD is able to move onto 101, you can have BBC Three everywhere on 115?

London Live currently occupies the 117 slot, seems like it hasn't been able to negotiate an EPG swap?

On Virgin Media, series links need to be rescheduled on BBC One and BBC Four, because the SD versions of BBC One are being removed on Wednesday in England.
So basically BBC One HD on channel 101, BBC Three HD on channel 107, and BBC Four HD on channel 108

Thank you for the info guys, I completely forgot about London Live

Bizarre to see BBC Three placed so down the list next to Food Network in 140 for Scotland and placed so far down to 173 in London, next to DMAX and PBS America? BBC Three would even be lucky to gain viewers through conventional EPGs, whereas it's a cakewalk just to click on BBC iPlayer, Three and watch live.

And it doesn't help that current promotions aren't advertising the current channel numbers. Viewers expecting to see it in 115 will be surely disappointed. There would have to be a final clutch for the BBC to even push the channel numbers further up. Really doesn't help how many channels Sky launched that would've allowed BBC to have those spaces.

I'm a bit late to this particular discussion about the new logo but honestly BBC Three being slightly less consistent actually works with the channel branding itself and what it's going for. Three is loud and in your face, so it makes sense that every aspect of their branding mirrors that.

BBC ONE HD, BBC FOUR HD, BBC THREE HD? I can see them swapping that.

BBC Three - BagelCrisp - 24-01-2022

iPlayer again with it's blocks icon at the end, I get a feeling the icons for iPlayer and maybe Sounds are going to be used from February

I imagine they will air repeats of the new Waterloo Road revival whenever that comes out.

According to Clean Feed @ TTVR, the full length barker loop is now showing again on BBC Three (minus the idents/breakbumpers).

3 years before it's binned off again, I reckon.
