Really like the buildup with the clock. Wished BBC One did something similar....

As for the rest of it, news delivered standing behind a wooden desk with a blue floating background. Subtle change at best. Also, the halo around the presenter on the green screen isn't the best.

Clock and intro are quite nice, but I really dislike that opening camera movement. :?

The camera movement in the outro is not that elegant either. In general though, I really like this new look, it feels way less cheap than the old one. And after 12 years of the same music and 10 years of the same look, it was just time for some change.

I like the digital clock and the series of maps showing Germany, then Europe, then the World. It's also nice that they've made the Morse code beeps more prominent in the music. Apart from that, it just looks a bit bland, and there isn't much that differentiates it from the previous version.

It's a fairly inoffensive evolution of the brand. The new titles are fine. And from the brief look shown in the videos above, the new graphics look cleaner. As for the set: I'm no fan of virtual sets, but this is at least an improvement on the old one.

It's almost comical seeing the presenter welcoming viewers to the new studio. I suspect many viewers might not have noticed much of a difference, had it not been pointed out to them!

This is very much evolution as opposed to revolution. It's a continuation of their branding since 2009. I think it is interesting that news branding stays around for so long. In the '90s it was rare for a certain look to stay around longer than five years. That's commonplace now.

Now I for certain know what I like the best in the new studio, it finally looks like a studio. The previous one was not only overly large, it looked like presenters were on a spaceship not in a news studio. And green screen studios, unfortunately, often give that feeling of unreality which in my opinion is not fit for a news program.

Really impressed with this set and the simplicity of it (for a change). Generally not the biggest virtual set for news fan myself, but this seems effective.

One thing I'm curious about is the buttons (?) on the presenter side of the desk which appear to be visible on both this one and the Tagesschau set. Not something I've seen on other sets around here myself.

Hi I think they are to control the talkback, sometimes you can see a similar unit on the BBC News Channel in some shots.Might be completely wrong though.
