The Brit Awards 2021 - FBC - 12-05-2021 James Martin post_id=12113 time=1620823440 user_id=872 Wrote:Great, but what is a bubble? I take a bubble to mean they've all been living in the same accommodation with each other for two weeks - I'm guessing that might not actually be how it works?Several negative tests for everyone, and everybody then stays together in the same accommodation with no contact outside the ‘bubble’ throughout rehearsals and until after the project is finished. Basically a very similar process as on the sets of movies, music videos, tv series, etc. The Brit Awards 2021 - mark - 12-05-2021 I really enjoyed the ceremony last night - and felt sorry for the person in charge of muting the sweary bits, who clearly struggled to keep up with Lewis Capaldi. As others have said, the set was fantastic - I thought it put this year's Oscars to shame. I particularly liked that the very colourful backdrop for the award presentations was a real one rather than just graphics on a screen. The Brit Awards 2021 - Yellow - 12-05-2021 Really great effort, interesting to see (like Ant and Dec's Takeaway) ITV are being super hot with the Live DOG (going on and off during a performance as it switches between pre-record and live shots) - clearly someone thinks this is the next big scandal in waiting. We managed for decades with pre-recorded inserts in live programming where required. It's not like news where it being live is a key part of their mantra, it's some light entertainment which is billed as being live in the schedules (and by the CA, presumably). Doesn't have any impact on the audience at home whether it is live or not, considering there is no competition element which the viewers are involved in, and as Brekkie says by adding this live DOG it is making a big deal out of very little. I haven't seen any Ofcom guidance regarding this issue. The Brit Awards 2021 - James Martin - 12-05-2021 BBC Three used to do this with a particularly ugly DOG, most notably on the Eurovision semis. Infact, I noticed from watching quite a few national finals this year due to being stuck indoors on a Saturday night it seems to be a popular thing to do on the continent. The Brit Awards 2021 - bkman1990 - 12-05-2021 How did Coldplay have their virtual people up on the stage. I thought it looked amazing when I saw it on UTV HD last night. The Brit Awards 2021 - all new Phil - 12-05-2021 Watched it due to there being nothing else on and, despite not usually being a fan, I really enjoyed it. Incredible staging. One stand out for me - Clara Amfo had great presence when she presented an award. I’d say she’d be great hosting the whole thing at some point in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed Elton John singing in the club style too. The Brit Awards 2021 - bkman1990 - 07-06-2021 The BBC saying last week that there were some Covid cases being reported due to this year's Brit Awards. Very disappointing if true. Very disappointing if true.I would assume they were expecting a few surely? Weren't they all health workers so they all would have been vaccinated anyway. This is what the future's probably going to be like well into the future anyway, Covid being spread in the same way that colds and flu are spread at these events. It's just that most will be vaccinated against its worst effects. I think there were 9 cases after that 6000 person Liverpool rave which is small. The Brit Awards 2021 - James2001 - 07-06-2021 Depends how many and if they ended up in serious illness or hospitalisation, really. If we're aiming for zero cases then we'll struggle to ever start big events like this again. We're going to have to accept the spread of cases going forwards, as long as they're not killing people or putting them in hospital, which all signs so far suggest the vaccines are doing. The Brit Awards 2021 - Yellow - 09-06-2021 Were the cases due to the Brits, or were they merely detected as part of the pre/post ceremony testing of the audience?
