I completely agree. Though I reckon if it were more of a major/well known character, they would have had a build up to it, which to me, seems counter-intuitive.

Really? Doesn't strike me as something you'd really struggle to get away with pre-watershed, particularly on an adult focussed show not long before the watershed. I've heard worse on pre-watershed TV plenty of times.

That's amusing - but it's incredibly easy for things like this to happen. I personally know a short film director who once left a massive light fully visible in the background, because she simply didn't notice.

They could definitely just cover it up with black to match the rest of the lanyard so the logo disappears. But either no-one realised or they just decided it wasn’t worth the bother as ‘Joe Public never clocks a damn thing’.

Loved tonight's Christmas episode. Very feel good how Christmas episodes should be.
No deaths, explosions, armed sieges, murders etc. Nice to see Ken, Audrey and Gail all involved a lot tonight and Roy and Evelyn have both returned.

Sue Nicholls undoubtedly the star of the show for me tonight.
"Right, pudding's nearly ready - how's everything in here?"
"Well, Carla and Peter have just run for it, Harry wanted to go and play with his big brother, the turkey was like cardboard, and Ken's got his bells out, so... anybody for Christmas pudding?"
Fantastic, and exactly the fun and uplifting sort of thing I needed from Coronation Street tonight.
