Surely, that is the problem though.
GBN was billed as an alternative to the existing news channels. To run a newsroom is very expensive unless you use cub reporters from uni just copy and pasting from wires with no double or triple checking the sources are factually accurate.
Most newsrooms have PA/wires type services - if that's what they have it will be no different to the existing broadcasters. They need reporters out in the regions to have any clout and then even local BBC and ITV will outnumber them 100-1.

I'm also not keen on the McCoy/Gallacher pairing. If it wasn't for the likes of Muroki being dreadful, I'd be raising questions about Kirsty as the only time she lights up is when she's doing the sports segments.

GB News is an alternative to the rolling news channels. Quite good to have long form discussions as an alternative to the same news stories repeated every half hour.
