With the exception of CNBC.

Ah very true, I forgot about CNBC. Mostly watch more of Bloomberg for stock news. Didnt NBC have a channel in Europe in the mid 90's? I'm lost for what it was called now, I will have to rack my brain on that.

NBC Super Channel, then just NBC (even if it was really NBC Europe).

I doubt it. ViacomCBS is launching their Paramount+ streaming service around the world, and I'm sure it will definitely be launched in the UK and Ireland.

I grew up to NBC Europe watching Today at noon live and profiler at weekends. It was a glimpse into US TV. Loved that channel.

Correct and it became a German only channel in 1998 before it was relaunched as Das Vierte in 2005 and the channel was bought by Disney in 2012 before it was replaced by Disney Channel Germany two years later when the channel became free-to-air.

Actually, I agree too. There have been high level talks about Peacock, Paramount + and HBO Max joining forces with their streaming services

Peacock from Comcast - Blubatt - 04-08-2021

On one hand, I really like this. It should make some content more readily available in the UK for streaming. But with NBC shows airing everywhere, on different channels and streaming services, what will be available. Friends, one of NBC's biggest shows, airs on Viacom owned Channel 5 and Comedy Central, and is on Netflix. Will that eventually be on Peacock? Will it stay on Netflix/Channel 5/Comedy Central. And what about the other big name TV shows? Heroes, Monk, Brooklyn 99? What's their status?

And then there's the stuff that airs on the US Peacock, like the WWE Network. WWE Network is still a standalone OTT Streaming service here, and airs on BT Sport now. What will happen there?

No different really to programmes which are available on NOW in the UK, but not in Italy. It'll continue under existing licensing agreements, and if the licensee changes then it may appear on the platform.

Friends is a Warner show. It aired on NBC but NBC has no ownership or any rights to it. That's why in the US it's exclusively available on HBO Max.

Heroes is on BBC iPlayer.

Peacock from Comcast - Plektrum - 04-11-2021

At last week’s Comcast earnings call they did state it was set to launch this month (November) but apart from that confirmation there appears to have been nary a peep about the launch… nothing else about the catalogue at launch or even any indication of how it’s going to implemented… is it an app? Or just going to be a branded section within the existing platforms? (and as such ales shows downloadable to the Sky planner)… for what should be a significant launch for NBCU and boost for their streaming ambitions, it’s all remained rather quiet.

Peacock from Comcast - Rdd - 13-11-2021

Some speculation (on Sky’s own community forum) that it will launch Tuesday, as a section in the existing On Demand part of the Sky Q EPG.. Nothing official though.

Peacock from Comcast - Rdd - 16-11-2021

It’s available now.

Interesting use of the “app”, there is a tile on the Apps rail but it doesn’t start an app, it takes you into a dedicated branded section of the EPG designed to look like an app.

As for the content, a lot of it was there already, with Saved by the Bell being the main attraction.
