UPDATE
Upgrades to existing subs now seem processable across multiple platforms. The pressure has worked. I've just done so gaining a new 12 month deal at £29.99 with the refund of the remainder of my old 12 months being returned. Has an advantage that I was expecting to pay full in November 2021, now will not do so until July 2022. I'm paying less over the coming twelve months with sport that I would have done without.

More so pleased that the payment and the refund back have both been processed overnight too.

The UI and UX of this app is disgraceful. I’ve got it casting to my TV via Google Chromecast and if I want to pause a show, I have to click the cast icon, then the thumbnail.

Was Faking It shown as a Discovery+ Original series exclusively for the UK or is it an actual Discovery+ Original series worldwide (was it just a Discovery+ Original for the UK?)

On Android, Discovery+ is now a different app completely. I had to delete the old app and install the new one.
One point of interest is that it detects which country you live in and then sends you to that version which I'd assume is now the same app for every country with geotargeting.

Just had an email saying they'll be refreshing the look and feel of the service soon which is good news as the UI can be extremely frustrating to use a lot of the time. Hopefully they'll also launch on LG soon as they have done in the US.

I've figured out how to stop Discovery+ juddering on the Nvidia Shield. Using the Refresh Rate app, it forces the D+ app to render the streams at 25fps as they've encoded all their US material from 29.97 to 25fps.
There isn't an issue with D+ on Fire TV as long as you use the 50Hz option instead of the automatic function.

It finally arrived Tuesday, using the American UI/UX as opposed to the European one. The price for Brazil is 21,90 Brazilian reals monthly and 226,80 Brazilian reals for the yearly plan (that's 18,90 per each month), but, as part of a launch promo, it has been discounted to 194,88 (16,24 per month), that's 25% discounted for subscribers signing in during the launch period. There is also a 7-day free trial available.
The service is also being offered with additional discounted access for subscribers to Claro TV and Claro Box TV, available at the normal price on top of the existing TV subscription, but with a year-long trial, and free access for subscribers of participating multiservice packages. It is also being offered, starting next week, for subscribers of Globoplay, with a bundle with the basic Globoplay subscription and D+ at 34,90 Brazilian reals.
No word on when the platform will launch in the rest of Latin America still, but it is widely expected for next year.

Wow. They’re going to be moving to yet another different iOS app from the 7th Dec. I think this might be the fourth time they’ve completely changed app rather than just updating the existing one (counting what preceded Discovery+). It comes across as amateurish to me as I can’t remember the last time I’ve had to do this with a service I pay for, but then I know nothing about app development.

I believe this new update has a purpose, I think we are to see the whole of Eurosport ported over. There are chunks missing at the present so perhaps there are genuine reasons for this. Currently for example there's no EPG information, which is essential for Sports content. Introducing this will take a hell of a lot of code. we'll see in a fortnight-ish.
