I'd like to introduce this...
Nice find - cheers for posting it. Is there any way to watch a full show altogether instead of in minute-length sections?

I've actually been doing this for a while with old BBC News programmes (March 2010-February 2013) for presentation's sake and to catch any outliers (i.e. N8 on NC, or the rare use of N9 such as during the London Olympics). It's nice knowing organisations such as the Internet Archive exist to preserve such material.

JK1985 post_id=30376 time= user_id=1347 Wrote:I have watched the interview between Mark Dolan and Dan Wootton, and what struck me was in the middle of the interview it started to feel both men were promoting TK Maxx.

Mark started it off by saying TK Maxx was his favourite shop, and then Dan came in straight away to say it was his favourite shop too - followed by the two men highlighting what a great shop it is. It felt like a product placement in the middle of the interview.

Similar vibes to this subtle product placement from Hawaii Five-O.

Just had a look, saw Esther McVey, switched to something else, anything else Big Grin

Enjoying the Becca and Brad pairing, standing in for Alastair.

Noticed Ellie was on the breakfast show earlier

I've said this a fair amount but they really shouldn't split Simon and Alex up (like some reports, and only reports, were suggesting). Yesterday's show just demonstrated the banter and chemistry between them.

Not that one could ever doubt the seriousness of GBN but they had an astrologer on earlier predicting what the next couple of years would have in store for Boris Johnson:

Why isn't nana on I thought she had a new show on today at 3

No, not according to the schedule on the GBN website and the Sky EPG. Its ‘Andrew Neil’ without Andrew Neil.

They seem to like using Ellie Costello and Paul Hawkins from the regional reporting team in the studio a lot more. Ellie did the paper review yesterday on Breakfast as well.

It’s strange seeing Mark Dolan progress from someone who used to present Balls of Steel in the early 2000s to shock jock on GB News in 2021

GB News - JK1985 - 24-07-2021

Mark's first opening monologue was interesting to watch - not for what Mark was saying, the usual dross that we now expect from GB News, but it seemed to me he was controlling his autocue with a hand held clicker.

Every paragraph read by Mark was followed by a click, and in his right hand he was holding what looked like a remote control. Anyone else notice it?

All of the presenters control the autocue with that clicker. Some do it more discreetly than others. They don’t employ an autocue operator.

Really? Because when I have watched Dan with his opening monologue, I never noticed any clicker or heard it. And you sometimes can see his autocue moving in the reflection of the set.

I've never noticed any presenters on the sofas using any too.
