Plans for Channel 4 to be privatised have been delayed, for now. From the growing feedback however, it does sound likely it may be delayed indefinitely.

One thing which might be the Tories get out of selling card is that the economy has recovered quicker and better than expected as seen in the latest budget which might mean they can say they don't need the cash injection selling C4 would bring - although how variable the economy is shows how short sighted that would be anyway.
On the flip side they might believe that delaying the sale would ultimately bring in more money than doing so immediately off the back of the pandemic.

Yes, as I mentioned over on DS, multiple new entries have appeared in the Freesat SDT today. It is standard for this to occur a few days/weeks before formal launch onto the EPG.
There is no EPG data being carried at present.
The following Channel 4 services are live on these LCNs in the test region only:
126 - Channel 4 HD
501 - Box Hits
502 - Box Christmas (usually The Box)
503 - KISS
504 - Magic
505 - Kerrang!
The data streams "attached" to C4 HD never stopped carrying F'sat data. The service has remained as a zero'd entry in the SDT ever since it left the platform in 2018.

Why is/does 4Music need to be FTV on Dsat? There's nothing that special on 4Music for it to require a sky viewing card to unlock it. Very strange of C4 to still keep 4Music this way?
FTV channels on Sky requiring a viewing card to unlock are a dying breed and surely should be a thing of the past. Infant, apart from 4Music, what else is FTV instead of FTA??
I suspect if 4Music get rebranded into a 4comedy/E4 Extra/E4Classics or whatever it might go FTA?
Maybe 4Music or whatever it becomes in the future should move out of the Box Plus family and be part of the 4 family of channels.

Box Plus channels are on a Europe wide satellite, so 4Music is free-to-view so that the entertainment programmes are only accessible in the UK where they have the rights to show them.

Apart from all the non-music programming they show which doubtless would have rights issues being shown FTA outside of the UK.

I thought 4Music was on a UK spot beam, or at least it once was!
Surely C4 could move it to a UK spot beam...its not like there is no room for it!
The ad revenue being FTA on a UK spot beam has got to be better/worthwhile rather than the awkward situation of being FTV on a Europe beam.

I have to say I'm really surprised C4 have managed to keep hold of EPG126 when it's been empty for over 3 years!! Surely C4HD should relaunch at the back of the entertainment section in EPG179.
Why is it allowed to leapfrog to this EPG number....if I had a channel stuck at the rear of the entertainment section I'd be a bit peeved.
I thought the HD versions of PSB's have no special status (unlike the SD feeds which do)??.

Yes BBC 1 NI HD and UTV HD have swapped with SD.
No TWO NI HD to swap, and 4HD is London region only. Still no justification I can see for it to be 'gifted' juicy slot 126, when it should launch (in my view) at the back of the entertainment section.
