GB News - London Lite - 07-01-2022 They're currently doing a game feature with the panellists where they show a picture, but for radio listeners Dolan isn't describing the actual photo as part of his clue, so there's no way they can join in. It looks like Mark Dolan is also the weekend presenter of Headliners. Is it AdSmart gone wrong? No, it’s the same on Freesat with no AdSmart, I wonder if Sky Media Sales have a very good office in South Wales, or if there is one business owner that loves GB News. Because I reckon there has been loads of ads for companies Welsh businesses with physical presence only in Wales. I remember on 5Live, Chris Warburton being taught how to wrap presents. He was standing at a table doing it, but needed to use the now redundant Web cam stream to see it! I had wondered if GBN had different feeds and somehow I was getting the wrong one. I now know where I'd get a car and broadband from if I lived in Wales. But I don't think Dyfed Telecom service Whitley Bay. Also no reference to the fact McVey and Philip Davies are married thus far, which is a slightly weird admission. Because I reckon there has been loads of ads for companies Welsh businesses with physical presence only in Wales. They only have a single stream on satellite, and I don't think the DTT COM muxes have any regional versions (except COM 4/SDN for Wales ?) GB News - mccanmat - 08-01-2022 And as yet Phillip hasn’t presented yet only have an opinion when Tonia directly asked him something. Esther is very much the presenter in this trio and it shows. GB News - Jon - 08-01-2022 As well as having two Conservative MPs presenting, the first two guests that could be described as politicians are a Tory MP and Lord Grade a conservative peer. GB News - Gusan - 08-01-2022 Phil Davies made it look like the accountant had come to visit I must say I didn't realise he was an MP until I googled him. And I wondered why the billing was Esther and Phil, I didn't realise they were husband and wife GB News - Jon - 08-01-2022 Gusan post_id=62199 time= user_id=1644 Wrote:Phil Davies made it look like the accountant had come to visitWhich is odd that they didn’t mention it, she just introduced by saying who he was and what position he holds. I can understand it may have been a bit awkward to explain they were husband and wife, but still I think it was more odd to mention it at all. GB News - London Lite - 08-01-2022 I see the Saturday Selection was also from the Breakfast Bar this morning. Having all of the presenters and contributors in a row just looks odd. Yet Alastair Stewart is from the soft area. In all honesty, McVey's husband is surplus to requirements. It's like GB News are paying him to keep Esther company! Quote:The judge read out GB News’ editorial guidelines in court and expressed dismay at Muroki’s opinion piece, saying: “I am struggling to see how, as in GB News’ charter, that this article is ‘respectful’ or ‘sets an example by treating others in a way that they would wish to be treated’.” Being neither an expert in journalism or law I can see why the judge didn't pursue a contempt of court charge as this is very much Mercy giving her opinion on the case in a fairly generic, but unnecessary manner, rather than specifically saying anything which might compromise things such as revealing something about the defendents which may prejudice the jury - but as you say it's journalism 101 that you stick to facts, rather than opinion, whilst commenting on an ongoing trial. That said it is now quite easy for any of us to unwittingly be in contempt of court when deals of an ongoing trial are reported and you pass comment on them on social media. GB News - valley - 08-01-2022 "No politician may be used as a newsreader, interviewer or reporter in any news programmes unless, exceptionally, it is editorially justified. In that case, the political allegiance of that person must be made clear to the audience." (Section 5.3 of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code) The politicians presenting news programmes thing feels a bit weird - even weirder with two from the same party! I'm not sure what editorial justification GB News' producers would use; unless, of course, they are saying it is not a news programme? |
