They really need to start the preview for the next show at x59.30 ready to start the bulletin at x00.
I assume that you're talking about have the news bulletins actually hit the top of the hour. Given my experience of recording their jingles, you might want a word with Absolute Radio. For once, I'm gonna defend GB News and say that unless they're taking the Piers Morgan approach of wait until I'm done ranting, then GB News are probably fine having their bulletins a couple of minutes past the TOTH.

The difference with Absolute is that people don't really listen to it for news, so if they go over a couple of minutes for a feature or to squeeze in another song, it's not a big deal, but if you want radio listeners to dip in for a bulletin and they get some random puff instead, the TOTH is still the best time to schedule it. GB News Radio will need as many dippers for their Rajar figures as much as the diehards.

It doesn’t make sense for GB News to start the TOTH with News. It makes it feel much more apart of the programmes by having your presenters introduce their programmes a bit first, presumably making reference to what’s coming up and one or two the main stories.
I understand that might be odd for someone coming from LBC or talkRADIO, but there has to be some compromise between the TV offering and radio. And if having the news come in a couple of minutes later is a deal breaker, GB News Radio is probably not for you.

A simple issue when simulcasting a tv show on radio which could be easily resolved.

You can still do the intro at x59 past each hour. All they need to do is tiny little compromises for radio. More time checks, headlines at x00 and x30. There are many tv/radio simulcasts overseas which get it right by not excluding one group or another and still run to a radio clock.

The fact the strap is completely detatched from everything else, and floating above the ticker, is really irritating me. I find GMB's less irritating, so maybe it's just how GBN's animates; or the fact the website thing is attatched to the ticker, whereas on GMB, the logo is separate? It's one of those things that I dislike but I can't quite put my finger on why.

There's also a lip sync issue as well, but that isn't an issue for the radio station.
On radiofeeds.co.uk, there's a nice 128kbps stream which seems to have had processing added to it which gives the beds a bit of a punch.

LBC News runs to a clock and while they've been late starting a 20 min wheel of news during to live events which is acceptable for a rolling news station, even LBC while less regimented still hits at certain times using a clock schedule to hit commercials and features such as travel news.
All that I'm saying is that it needs to be more structured and that there are more experienced broadcasters overseas which can provide the same show for two different mediums a lot better than this.

We know everybody can run channels better than GB News too (well, maybe Arise News aside!) Just because LBC News hit the top of the hour like clockwork doesn't mean all channels have too. The reason many radio stations hit the top of the hour on the dot is due to shared bulletins, something GB News doesn't have to worry about.

It's 'The AM Show' on TV3 New Zealand and from the start (when it was called 'Paul Henry') is was a hybrid TV/Radio show.

Ratings are in for Christmas.
Farage has been knocked off the top for once by Headliners, the latter of which somehow also took the bottom #15 spot, respectively with 47,100 and 34,200 viewers.
There are 4 entries from Live bulletins, 2 Dewbs & Co and 2 from Wootton.
If you added the numbers for the #1 to #4 together, the combined figure would only be 23,655 higher than Sky's #15 placeholder. And to think the latter was on Boxing Day...

GB News Radio sound quality is absolutely terrible - plus a number of 'dead air' situations particularly in breaks. They've had weeks to sort this out since going live with the test transmission (and what's the point of a test transmission if you are never going to use it to test?)
