GB News - Jon - 02-01-2022 In that now deleted tweet still pushing that terribly designed new logo. The spacing of the ‘ews’ probably makes sense in relation to the N of GBN, but also makes the N look less obvious and it just looks awkward pushed up against that Union flag section. Most of the branding I’d considerable at worst ‘acceptable’ but I’m not sure why someone hasn’t took a call to alter this logo. GB News - Jon - 02-01-2022 Brekkie post_id=61311 time= user_id=976 Wrote:So they have hour long shows with different hosts from 12-4pm and 6-9pm, and again at 11pm, plus the Tom Harwood edition of the briefing in the morning. Really don't get how that will be sustainable. Indeed with double headed shows for breakfast, in the morning and for the paper review over 18 hours they're using 16 presenters, plus any newsreaders. This all assumes that GB News expects to be profitable. If the backers are happy to fund it and not see a return, then it will be sustainable. GB News - JK08 - 02-01-2022 The whole logic of presenting the bulletins as GBN ews is ridiculous to me in the first place? Surely it undermines the fact that the GBN logo represents GB News? If they really wanted specific branding for the bulletins, ‘GBN Headlines’ might have been a better way to go? It was bad enough with the all caps logo but the stupid ‘ews’ is embarrassing. The logo clearly wasn’t designed for such adaptation, and looks ridiculous for it. GB News - VMPhil - 02-01-2022 Might be a precursor to them introducing farm animals into the studio - GBN ewes. Surely it undermines the fact that the GBN logo represents GB News? It looks fine, why such a level of hysteria surrounds this organisation in particular baffles me. It’s GB News and the graphic says GB News. It’s not particularly aesthetically pleasing, but it does the job and their target audience could not care less. BBC News have butchered their own house style in far worse ways than this over the years, that’s for sure…! GB News - CameronYoung - 02-01-2022 I think if the red dash on the right on the N went towards the N as it went down - something like this: ![]() Or even, shockingly, move the 'ews' so it doesn't overlap the red, they might get away with it and it'll look much better? The less said about the DOG the better, but why not use the 'all caps' version as seen in the background of that second screenshot? GB News - ginnyfan - 02-01-2022 They really need a proper morning set, what they are using now is utterly depressing and uninviting. Hopefully they will make an effort for Eamonn. Also The Great British Breakfast was a good name and should be kept. GB News - Jack - 02-01-2022 Has there been any indication of a new set or studio for the new morning show tomorrow? Imagine they’d want to go all out with it being a “relaunch” of breakfast but not sure they’d have had the chance to do anything? GB News - London Lite - 02-01-2022 Moving the breakfast show back to the soft area would go some way to ensuring it's a bit more relaxed and casual than the hotel reception set which has been functional, but not the best set by a long shot. GB News - TMD_24 - 02-01-2022 Saturday Selection with Esther and Phil branding (Launching Saturday) is the very basic branding for a generic GB News show. I'm not totally sure who the presenters are, I presume the Esther is going to be Esther Krakue (EDIT: McVey oops I thought it would be a new presenter) but not sure who the 'Phil' in question is the other presenter?
GB News - London Lite - 03-01-2022 I thought Saturday Selection is a rebranded Saturday Morning UK or whatever it was called? If that's the case, it's McVey with a new male co-presenter as Caroline Flint left. Tonia Buxton has been subbing as a co-presenter until Christmas. I'm assuming Buxton will go back into a contributor role where she mixes cooking with anti-vaxxer content? I think it could either be Esther McVey and Philip Davies or Esther Krakue and Phil Campion. My bet is on the former since Esther McVey is already on GB News as a presenter.
