I don't disagree, but equally, it should be "More of our viewers still watch TV live so how to maintain the audience while recognising the changing media landscape." If you make something so in your face that it dominates every trail, it could put people off more than it attracts.

The past logos of the show though have always followed that of the channel. The show's first run in 2006 had a Gill Sans logo and the rest of the time has had the same font as the previous logo.

To improve the mood slightly, there was quite a nice menu in the 19:30 junction, a lot better than what BBC One has had for the last 15 years or so.

There kind of is? The current logo is based off the now old channel logo.

My view:
OK, so Oneness is still there. That's something we'll have to live with for a while. Despite that, the new branding looks quite good. I hope that circular motif used in the promos is featured in the idents, as that looks pretty smart.

For all today has generally, by and large, been seen as a bit of a damp squib, I must say, I am a big fan of this.

Went back on iPlayer to grab this, it looks really nice. Only 'criticism' I have is the resizing of the text doesn't seem very smooth, but other than that it looks superb.

Considering the rebrand basically consists of rebranded idents and some different trailers, I wonder what the point of the ‘soft launch’ actually was. So soft it’s barely noticeable. Why not wait until something more substantial was ready?
