You think that’s what the mainstream reporters and staff would do? The original point was in regards to the professional standards of reporters on location when dealing with protesters. Presenters being attacked or chased is entirely different and thankfully a rare event. GB News - Rob - 20-07-2021 Sorry johnnyboy - I've removed your post. To all members: as of now, any mention of the person that was banned last week on this forum will result in warnings or bans. GB News - AllWillBeWell - 20-07-2021 They just had an air compressor going off live. Really curious to know which equipment has a compressor in the studio, possibly a desk? How much on air drinking happens on GB Loose News?! I think you need a good drink when you realise your life is reduced to being on that channel. GB News - onetrickypony - 20-07-2021 If they are live on New Year's Eve, I'm guessing we'll have a few tipsy or drunk reporters / presenters  GB News - scottishtv - 20-07-2021 I did watch the Farage programme and accept he can hold a show together pretty well. As others have said, even the best presenter needs content to work with so time will tell on that front. I couldn't help but feel he ticked off a few of his pet topics in the first show. Maybe it will be a case of rinse and repeat? Pres-wise, I see they have also dialled-up the Union flag elements a fair bit (not including the red/white/blue wipe on the lower-third):

GB News - Brekkie - 20-07-2021 Any ratings for last night yet, or indeed last week. Be interesting to see if they had a bounce once the Euros were over. Farage got around 90k, getting close to the BBC News Channel. https://twitter.com/RTCoxwell/status/1417437811825909767 GB News - Brekkie - 20-07-2021 A fairly strong start then. The trouble of course with someone like Farage is just as much as he'll have appeal to some people he'll also be a huge barrier to others, so I suspect it'll top out this week then drop slightly, but presumably pick up in the autumn. GB News - derek500j - 20-07-2021 Interesting to see that Brazier's first half hour beat Farage's second! GB News - Whataday - 20-07-2021 Farage's first show already has 72,000 views on the GBN YouTube channel which I think is quite impressive. GB News - JayCasey - 20-07-2021 I think Farage's show last night was quite possibly the best piece of output the channel have come up with since it launched. Technically it seemed flawless, the set works well for the programme style. That kind of personality-led "Tucker Carlson" style show can work, but it needs the right person doing it. Farage is clearly a competent presenter, and assuming he can come up with enough material to fill four hours a week, could do very well. GB News - Jon - 20-07-2021 This is how I’d rejig the GB News line up. 6-9am McCoy & Whoever on Breakfast 9-12noon Alistair Stewart & Friends Once he gets better a daily or 4 day a week version of his weekend show, if he wants to take on that workload. 12-3 Alex Philips and panel. Alex is a pretty solid presenter and the likes of Mercy and Liam could join her for a Tonight Live/Jeremy Vine type a panel show. 3-5pm Dewbs & Harwood Dewbs is pretty weak at the reading the autocue part is usually quite capable talking to others, I think a pairing with Harwood would help her out. 5-7pm The Brazier Report Two hour version of the show he’s been doing in the Andrew Neil slot, also containing the woke watch and similar features, as the culture wars seem to be his bag. 7pm Farage with Nigel Farage 8pm Andrew Neil with Andrew Neil 9pm-12am Tonight Live Move Gloria into Alistair’s slot at the weekend. If she wants to remain after being axed from her daily show. GB News - onetrickypony - 20-07-2021 Why are figures recently going to 1am? That seems unfair considering GB News goes into repeats from midnight, where both Sky and BBC are still live. Not that it probably makes much difference to overall figures, but including 12am hour would obviously hurt GBN more than the other two. |
