His show was already cut to 4 days now it’s apparently having an hour taken off it each day and it’s not as if the channel is seen a roaring success. But I’m sure it’s not good for the ego and could suggest that GB News aren’t that happy with his show. Of course it could have always been the plan to add more programmes and shorten that slot long term. Anyway, my point is it wouldn’t be surprising if he was seeing if there were any opening back at NewsUK. GB News - London Lite - 23-10-2021 Looks like the hour long sports programme on Saturdays not being on isn't a one-off. Instead Rhiannon Jones presented sports bulletins throughout the breakfast programme instead with a slightly longer bulletin before 9am with analysis from Monty Panesar. GB News - Newshound47 - 23-10-2021 I am not sure Talk Tv would want to launch with Piers Morgan followed by Dan Wootton as the two main evening shows so if he moved he would likely end up with a non prime time or weekend slot. This seems odd, as it only launched a few weeks back. Looking at the schedule there’s no longer any mention of it or the Sunday one. It seems a little hasty to decide it wasn’t working so soon after launching it. There didn’t strike me as being anything terribly wrong with it. GB News - London Lite - 24-10-2021 Paul Coyte, who used to do the newspaper back page reviews during the weekend sports programmes presented sports bulletins this morning. As expected the hour long Sunday sports show was replaced by another hour of Breakfast. GB News - gman - 25-10-2021 Was channel surfing and happened upon Free Speech Nation. They were discussing trans issues. Again! Now, I've only caught a few episodes of Free Speech Nation and never for any extended period of time but every single time, the topic of discussion has been trans issues. Does.he ever talk about anything else? GB News - willyninetyfour - 25-10-2021 gman post_id=50392 time= user_id=1359 Wrote:Was channel surfing and happened upon Free Speech Nation. They were discussing trans issues. Again! It's the new favourite "culture war" issue because they can, with some plausible deniability, claim that they're doing so from a feminist/more liberal perspective, that they have "legitimate concerns", and they themselves will be very well shielded from any of the consequences of their discussions. GB News - onetrickypony - 25-10-2021 Free Speech Nation is a nice little show but would work better after the watershed. There are a particular set of issues, such as the 'trans war' which is not only discussed on FSN but across GB News. It's their bread and butter. The contributors have been largely from those who support the LGB Alliance who don't believe in trans people having the same rights as people who were born into their gender legally. The only trans person I've seen after India Willoughby left as a contributor of Tonight Live for not having the same opinion has shared similar opinions to what GBN are looking for. Definitely some balance issues with this topic in particular, and I fail to see how GBN would defend this one-sided approach if Ofcom came calling.onetrickypony post_id=50443 time= user_id=944 Wrote:Free Speech Nation is a nice little show but would work better after the watershed. GB News - Brekkie - 25-10-2021 They don't focus on trans issues - they have an issue with trans. To be fair, I’ve seen Peter Tatchell talking about this subject on the channel a couple of times and the likes of Bejiman Butterworth who’s a regular on Tonight Live often give the other view point. |
